Pursuing advances in safety for “future medical care”

We aim for technological development to respond to the needs of next generation, and focus on research and development in three main fields: Safety Infusion / Enteral Nutrition, Cardiovascular Therapy, and Hemodialysis / Peritoneal Dialysis.

Also, we promote research in new areas such as Medical Information Technology, Regenerative Medicine, and Environmentally conscious products. Based on the focused fields, we continue to challenge ourselves to respond to various issues on the front lines of medical care.

Central Research Laboratory

The center for creating unique products and technologies.

Central Research Laboratory

Since its establishment in 1982, the Central Research Laboratory has been working on medical device research. Its research has led to the development/release of the CAPD (Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis) products and the Blood bags for the Japanese Red Cross Society. In recent years, we focus our efforts into enteral nutrition systems whose market is growing. By proposing total systems with safety and operational efficiency, we aim to support nutritional therapy more desirable for patients.

We also promote R&D for medical frontier such as regenerative medicine to create unique products and technologies.

Medical Electronics Device Development Department (MED)

Develop ME devices to contribute for efficient medical care and better QOL.

Medical Electronics Device Development Department

MED does research and development on medical devices for hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and infusion / transfusion market including software system. The development of dialysis machines is one example. This dialysis machine, which promotes standardization of procedures while automating dialysis operations, contributes to the improvement of medical care while reducing the time spent on medical practice.

ME Devices refer to devices used in treatment and diagnoses etc.
