CELLAID enables you to prepare autologous serum aseptically

Serum is now widely used in medical field, for example, eye-drop for dry eye care, promoting agent for tissue regeneration, nutrition in cell culture system, etc.

Autologous serum has less risk of infections than fetal bovine serum (FBS). Therefore auto-serum should be used instead of serum from animal for safe clinical application.

CELLAID was recently developed as a novel serum collecting device. Completely closed design of CELLAID allows all the users to prepare serum safely compared to conventional open system. Moreover, platelet activation beads contained in CELLAID complete all serum preparation steps within 1 hr.

Plasma is defined as the liquid part of anticoagulated blood. Serum, on the other hand, is the clear yellowish liquid component which can be separated from clotted blood.
CELLAID with platelet activation beads which accelerate blood coagulation is intended for serum preparation. Please note that CELLAID is not suitable for plasma (including platelet rich plasma; PRP) preparation.
